Property and construction consultancy Gleeds has been appointed as one of six suppliers on Anglian Water’s new multi-million-pound Client-Side Commercial Assurance Services framework.
The five-year agreement is intended to strengthen governance, cost control and compliance across Anglian Water’s capital and operational programmes in the East of England.
The agreement could be extended to 2034. Under the framework, Gleeds can be called upon to provide commercial assurance services covering cost verification, risk management, value-for-money assessments, programme control and supply chain oversight.
The scope also includes contract compliance, structured management of programme changes, benchmarking and strategic business plan support.
Anglian Water is the largest water and water recycling firm in England and Wales by area, serving more than 7M people across 14 counties.
Gleeds head of utilities Lucinda Seagrave said: “Gleeds has extensive experience of delivering complex utilities programmes, including water, electricity and renewables.
“This latest appointment will enable us to contribute to the integrity and regulatory readiness of Anglian Water’s commercial operations, enhancing the company’s internal controls and helping to ensure that its capital and operational programmes are delivered on time, in line with approved budgets, and to their expected high standard.”
Both organisations will focus on ensuring opportunities are accessible to a broad and diverse range of candidates, particularly those from local communities in Suffolk.
