Alvear Pedro Ximenez Solera 1927 Sherry ($32)
While a fine Single Malt Scotch or a classic cognac may be more closely associated with Father’s Day as a gift, this year we suggest expanding your father’s palate with a bottle that offers unparalleled history and sophistication at a remarkable value: Alvear Pedro Ximénez Solera 1927 Sherry.
If your father enjoys a fine cigar or dark chocolate, the tasting notes of Alvear Solera 1927 will absolutely delight him. On the nose, it delivers an intense bouquet of dried figs, raisins, molasses, and roasted coffee beans. On the palate, it is unctuously sweet but impeccably balanced by a vibrant acidity that prevents it from feeling cloying. He will discover complex undertones of dark caramel, toffee, and a hint of warm baking spices that linger beautifully on the finish.
How to Serve: Sherry pairs magnificently with a classic cheese board (particularly blue cheeses like Stilton), poured directly over high-quality vanilla bean ice cream, or simply served alongside a handful of roasted walnuts.
why a bottle of sherry can be
Better Than Wine
One of the practical dilemmas of gifting a fine bottle of wine is the pressure to consume it all in one sitting before it spoils. Sherry solves this elegantly. Due to its natural sugar content and fortified nature, an opened bottle can sit proudly on his bar cart or in the refrigerator for months without losing its character. He can enjoy a small, meditative pour whenever the mood strikes.
Profumo Del Chianti Italian Herb Salt Blend ($35)
Raphael and Teresa received this suggestion as a gift from our staff member, Jack Collins, so it really is a gift that we would love to receive as much as we would love to give it. Profumo del Chianti Italian Herb Salt Blend is the kind of finishing salt that makes simple food taste thoughtfully composed. What stands out most is the texture: it’s super fine, so it disappears quickly and evenly rather than sitting on top in coarse little bursts. That makes it especially well suited for finishing dishes, where you want a clean, balanced hit of salt, herbs, and savory depth right at the end
how the schneiders use this
Herb Salt
The Schneiders have found this herb salt to be an ideal complement to snacks like popcorn, where it clings better than a chunky blend and seasons each bite without overpowering the flavor. It also works beautifully on roasted vegetables, buttered toast, eggs, pasta, and even fries when you want a more elegant, Mediterranean-leaning finish.
Raphael appreciates that this herb salt feels less like a gimmicky flavored salt and more like a practical kitchen staple with a very specific strength. If you like the idea of one blend that can sharpen a dish, lift its aroma, and add a little Italian character without extra effort, this is an easy add to your father’s kitchen

How to get Dad’s size
When shopping for sized gifts, an easy way to get your dad’s measurements without giving away the gift is to help him collect ALL of his measurements: shoe size, glove size, hat size, shirt size, etc.; you can even help him determine the trickier measurements. That way, he can’t guess what you’re getting for him and you have all the information you need for years of future gifts.
J. Herbin Stormy Gray Fountain Pen Ink ($37)
Boardroom professional and yet with a hint of sprezzatura, this is the ink any fountain pen enthusiast will be happy to receive. More unique than the traditional blacks and blues, don’t be surprised if dad starts asking for a fresh bottle every year!
Smoky Trio ($43)
Enjoyed as a cooking ingredient, a crumble over salads, or by itself, tinned fish from The Fishwife Tinned Seafood Co. is a delectable treat that any fish-loving father will enjoy. Caught in Norway and smoked in the state of Washington, your father will flip over this fantastic fish; we suggest starting with the Smoky Trio pack of salmon, mackerel, and rainbow trout.
Fort Belvedere Dress Socks ($55)
You may have hated getting socks for Christmas, but we guarantee that your father will love getting a pair of Fort Belvedere socks for Father’s Day. Available in a range of classic colors with elegant patterns, there’s a pair to suit every season, every occasion, and every personality.
If dad spends his days in the boardroom or prefers a refined, lightweight feel, our classic dress socks—made from premium 100% Egyptian, 2-ply Fil d’Ecosse cotton with over-the-calf construction—are a pleasure to wear. Unlike other dress socks, they stay put, so dad won’t be constantly stopping to hike them back up.

Luigi Bormioli "Veronese" Rocks Glasses ($60)
When your dad drinks, make sure that he drinks in style. Luigi Bormioli is one of our favorite producers of beautiful, functional, and practical barware. We especially like their “Veronese” line of rocks glasses because they have a lovely heft that feels great and keeps your drink in place while the thick glass prevents your hands from warming up cold beverages; the beautiful classic lines don’t hurt, either!
Truefitt & Hill Highgrove Luxury Shaving Cream ($68)
If your dad’s going to do something every day, he deserves to do it in luxurious style while pampering himself. Truefitt & Hill Highgrove Luxury Shaving Cream elevates the act of shaving from a daily chore to a dignified ritual., It builds a rich, protective lather with very little effort, and the shave itself feels smooth, cushioned, and calm from start to finish. What makes it stand out is the balance between performance and refinement. The scent is restrained rather than loud, with a more distinguished, garden-inspired atmosphere; the Highgrove fragrance consists of cedar heart notes with delicate top notes of cypress, lemon, and a hint of lavender, with vetiver at its base. A small amount goes a long way, and it gives the face a comfortable, well-conditioned feel without any fuss.
For any father who values a close shave, a refined scent, and a product that feels luxurious without becoming theatrical, this shaving cream is an easy one to admire.
Conair Handheld Garment Steamer for Clothes ($70)
If your father hates ironing or just wants the particular convenience that a steamer offers, we can highly recommend getting him the Conair Turbo Extreme Handheld Garment Steamer. We tested over $500 worth of garment steamers, and the Conair Turbo Extreme was our pick for handheld model. We were impressed by its dead-on 40-second heat-up, powerful steam output, and five temperature settings that made it flexible enough for everything from delicate garments to heavier fabrics. Its 215 mL tank offered up to 15 minutes of steam, and the steamer proved especially effective at quickly loosening wrinkles thanks to its strong, consistent flow and easy-to-use design, making it one of the most capable handheld options in the group.
We tested $500+ worth of steamers

Raphael really enjoys the innovative action selection system that rewards careful planning while keeping every turn engaging and dynamic. Perfect for seasoned strategists and thoughtful planners, Ark Nova delivers a rich, immersive experience that feels as refined as it is complex.

Raphael Schneider loves to cook, and he has derived considerable use and benefit from this set, so he highly recommends it. Kaviari Sevrgua Caviar ($166)
For the father who appreciates the absolute pinnacle of gastronomic refinement, look no further than Kaviari Sevruga Caviar, a legendary delicacy that historic circles have long revered as the “connoisseur’s caviar.” While modern trends lean toward the buttery mildness of Osetra, the true epicurean father will relish Sevruga’s uncompromising character: a tight, delicate snap that immediately dissolves on the tongue to release a concentrated explosion of coastal brine, rich marine minerality, and a sophisticated hint of fresh walnut.
The Dominica Crochet Shirt from Dandy del Mar ($169)
For the father who navigates warm-weather style with mid-century panache, the Dominica Crochet Shirt from Dandy del Mar represents the absolute pinnacle of sophisticated leisurewear. Moving far beyond the casual simplicity of a standard linen button-down, this premium piece effortlessly recalls the vintage, sun-drenched glamour of the 1960s French Riviera. Meticulously crafted from an unlined, highly breathable cotton crochet knit, it delivers an impeccably draped, relaxed silhouette designed to catch the ocean breeze while maintaining a crisp, dapper outline. The shirt’s sophisticated details, including a soft collar, genuine abalone shell buttons, and several color options, elevate it from simple resort wear to a striking sartorial statement. Gift it to the patriarch who commands the patio grill or the poolside lounger with the same understated confidence he brings to the boardroom; paired with tailored trousers or classic swim trunks, it is an invitation for him to master the fine art of relaxing in style.
HOW OUR CONTENT MANAGER EB DANIELS
Wears This Shirt
Eb received this shirt with the burnt sienna stripe color scheme as a Christmas gift from his wife. He uses it as a casual warm‑weather shirt when he is doing chores, running errands, or having fun outdoors. He also uses it as a cover‑up over his swimsuit when he is bathing at the beach or at the pool. It is a remarkably versatile garment that he has many opportunities to wear and that always earns compliments.
Viking PureGlide Pro 3-Ply Nonstick Frying Pan ($170)
For years, Raphael had just accepted that nonstick must come with a compromise: fragility, synthetic chemical coatings, or both. But then, he discovered the Viking PureGlide Titanium Non-Stick Pan.
This is the first pan we’ve encountered that truly delivers on both fronts: exceptional non-stick performance without PFAS and with a level of scratch resistance that feels almost unheard of.
That’s why Raphael actually uses it. Not tests it. Not recommends it lightly. Uses it in his own kitchen.
The titanium-reinforced surface stands up to real cooking: high heat, metal utensils, daily use. No delicate handling. No second-guessing. Just reliable performance that lets you focus on technique, not maintenance. And unlike traditional non-stick pans that degrade over time, the PureGlide is built for longevity, being engineered to hold its performance, not lose it after a few months of serious cooking. If your father is a cook who has been waiting for a non-stick pan that finally aligns with both culinary standards and modern material safety, this is it.
Fort Belvedere Travel Manicure Set ($175)
Dad wants to stay well groomed, but he can’t be bothered with a clunky case full of overengineered tools that break all of the time. That’s why we made personal grooming simple with our manicure set. It features only the essentials – a cuticle clipper, precision tweezers, nail clipper, and a nail file – all made from durable INOX stainless steel and housed in a convenient German boxcalf and deerskin leather case. Don’t be surprised at how much neater dad will appear the next time you see him!
Sperry Gold Cup Boat Shoes ($175)
Raphael has always been a devotee of classic summer shoes, and he has found one of his new favorites in the Sperry Gold Cup Boat Shoe.
The leather has a richer, more substantial hand, and the overall build feels more refined than the basic versions most people know. They still have that unmistakable Sperry look, but there’s a clear step up in finish and comfort; this is obviously a premium line, even by Sperry standards.
What makes them especially appealing is how easy they are to wear. They slip into warm-weather dressing naturally, whether that means shorts and a polo, linen trousers, chinos, or even something a bit sharper like an oxford shirt and sport coat. They give you the relaxed confidence of a boat shoe, but with enough polish that they don’t look overly casual.
Whenever the weather is warm, this is almost always the pair of shoes that Raphael reaches for.

The fibers are then woven into scarves at our German factory, where they are prepared to exact dimensions to ensure the perfect, snug fit. It’s a lot of work, but dad is worth it, and when the colder months return, he will remember and thank you!

A favorite final feature: ergonomic rubber latches for an easy grip that won’t break like every other cooler latch, ever.

Baracuta G9 Harrington Jacket ($464+)
When Raphael first reviewed the Baracuta G9 Harrington jacket, he didn’t think that he would like it. Imagine his surprise when it quickly became one of his favorite transitional jackets.
We’ll let his review speak for itself:
“First of all, it comes in a really large range of colors but it also has a very pleasing slim modern cut, even though it was designed in 1937. I’m really pleased with the length of the sleeves. On top of that, it’s a very functional jacket; I can wear it when it’s raining outside when I need to pick up some groceries or drop off my daughter somewhere.
If you consider the price per wear and you just wear it ten times during the spring and ten times during the fall for just ten years, that breaks down to $1.95 per wear which I think is totally worth it.”
$500-$1000

And with Traeger’s EZ-Clean technology, your dad will have more time to savor his meal with fewer messes to clean.
Carl Friedrik Palissy Overnight Briefcase ($895)
Upgrade your father’s EDC with a quality leather bag that works as well in the boardroom as it does boarding the plane for a weekend trip.
Raphael has been using the Carl Friedrich Palissy Overnight Briefcase as his regular carry-on for more than a decade, and it has offered him consistent and stylish good service. He appreciates most how composed it feels in daily use. The Italian leather gives it a refined, substantial presence, and the structured shape keeps everything looking orderly even when the bag is full. It has the kind of understated luxury that doesn’t shout, but is immediately obvious to anyone who notices details.
The interior layout is practical in a very considered way. Between the dedicated laptop pocket, the organized pockets, and the overall roominess, it handles the realities of work travel without turning into a shapeless holdall. And because it still reads as a briefcase first, it works just as well walking into a meeting as it does heading out for the night.

Inspired by Globetrotter’s original 1897 design, this case measures 41 x 35 x 11 cm and weights just two kilograms with a 15 liter capacity. It is made from lightweight but durable proprietary vulcanised fiberboard with real leather corner protectors and a handmade handle.

Jack Collins
While working at the Gentleman’s Gazette Jack has developed a profencity in travel and luggage. He owns a vintage Globetrotter attache case that has proven to be an invaluable overnight bag, able to safely stow a shirt, tie, pocket square, socks, underwear, wash bag, and assorted tech. The fact that it isn’t entirely leather is actually a good thing: it cuts down considerably on the weight, which is a major concern when traveling.
WPPO 25″ Multi-Fuel Outdoor Pizza Oven ($1406)
What could be more fun than turing your patio or backyard into your own family pizzeria? Papa will be flipping pizzas like a paisano after you gift him this 15″ outdoor pizza oven. Switch between wood and gas fuel with the flip of a switch as you churn out pizzas, calzones, and even more; you’ll be amazed at how quickly food gets cooked thanks to the sizzling temperatures typical of true pizza ovens.
Raphael and Teresa bought this pizza oven for their home and it has been the center of attention every time they’ve used it. We don’t know if they put pineapple on their pizzas, but we know that they and their guests always shout “Ancora!” every time there’s an offer for seconds.
Sony Alpha 6700 Camera ($1700)
Superlative cameras have never been cheaper, and when it comes to remarkable value at an attainable price point, the Sony Alpha 6700 leads the pack. With a 26 MP sensor, AI-based subject recognition, 16-50mm zoom, and the ability to shoot 4K video, your father will put Man Ray to shame with this versatile little camera.
Jack, our senior content manager, has recently begun shooting more photographs for us and he prefers to use the Sony Alpha 6700.
Conclusion
When giving gifts, it is the thought that counts, and that’s why we have put so much thought into curating and preparing this list of gifts. We know that your dad would love any of the items we have highlighted here, and we hope that you find genuine benefit from our suggestions.
Let us know in the comments, what are some of your favorite Father’s Day gifts that you have given or received?
Lello ice cream makers are the best! Certainly not inexpensive, but a good value. Thermodynamics is a harsh mistress, and a compressor-cooled chamber is the best way to make premium ice cream (or gelato, or sorbetto, if you prefer). And considering the durability and longevity of these machines, the cost per pint is far less than store-bought, if you’re willing to make the custard yourself.
Great guide! I especially liked the focus on timeless gifts like leather goods and grooming essentials practical yet elegant choices for any dad.
