Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has initiated action to develop the road from 10 Acre Mall outside Raipur Darwaza to Vorana Roja in accordance with the 24.38-metre-wide roadline prescribed under T.P. Scheme No. 18-Sarangpur. As part of the project, 41 properties will have to be razed, and the civic body has served the final notices to these properties.
The civic body, in a press release, said properties falling within the roadline of Final Plot Nos. 22, 23, and 24 of T.P. Scheme No. 18-Sarangpur were served notices under Sections 212(1)(a) and 213 of the Gujarat Provincial Municipal Corporation (GPMC) Act on December 20, 2025. As the next stage of the process, final notices under Section 212(2) of the GPMC Act were also served on the concerned property owners on June 25, 2026.
AMC further said that a total of 41 properties are affected by the project, including 34 commercial, six residential, and one religious property. The civic body is proceeding under the relevant legal provisions to facilitate the road development work.
