KlickEx has officially announced a new strategic partnership with Tonga Post, enabling customers and members of the Tongan diaspora in Australia and New Zealand to send money transfers home for easy collection across the Kingdom.
Through this collaboration, Tonga Post will serve as an official Agent for KlickEx. Recipients in Tonga can now pick up their money transfers at four participating Tonga Post outlets located in: Nuku'alofa (Tongatapu), Vava'u, Ha'apai and 'Eua.
The partnership expands access across all four major island groups, ensuring families in remote regions can reliably access funds.
"Our mission at KlickEx has always been about making cross-border payments faster, safer, and more accessible for Pacific island communities," said Dennis Fuapau, Chief Commercial Officer at KlickEx.
"By partnering with Tonga Post, we are bridging the physical and digital divide—giving our Tongan customers in Australia and New Zealand complete flexibility to send money directly to loved ones, right across the island groups."
To use the service, senders simply log into their KlickEx account and select Tonga Post as the delivery option. Senders enter the recipient’s mobile phone number—supporting both Digicel Pacific in Tonga and Tongan
Communication Corporation (TCC) mobile networks.
"Tonga Post is proud to collaborate with KlickEx to offer a convenient money transfer solution for families across the Kingdom of Tonga,” said Edwin Liava’a, CEO at Tonga Post.
"With key outlets in Nuku'alofa, Vava'u, Ha'apai, and 'Eua, our network ensures that essential support sent from loved ones abroad reaches recipients efficiently, securely, and close to
home."
Jennifer Penisoni, Country Manager for KlickEx in Tonga, said: "The Tonga Post service is now live and available to all registered KlickEx users in Australia and New Zealand. For those not registered, signing up for a KlickEx account is simple; it takes just a few minutes. Those registering simply need their information ready - photo ID, address details and a selfie".
Mr Edwin Liava’a, at Tonga Post, said: "First-time collection requires a brief standard Know Your Customer (KYC) identity check. Recipients must present a valid photo ID (e.g. a driver's license or passport) at any of the Tonga Post branches during their initial money transfer pickup.”
