Women’s Golf Concludes Nittany Lion Invitational with Third Place Finish

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – A well-rounded display across all three rounds lifted Harvard women's golf to a third-place finish in its 2026-27 season debut at the Nittany Lion Invitational this week.
It was first-year
Rayee Feng that propelled the Crimson atop the team leaderboard with a remarkable collegiate debut. A native of Short Hills, New Jersey, Feng finished in fourth place after going eight under par, as she finished with 15 birdies across the three rounds at the Penn State Blue Course.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Harvard started steady at the Nittany Lion Invitational, combing for an even score to finish the first round in fifth place. Both Feng and sophomore
Nikki Iniakov carded 70s (-2) across the first 18 holes in the Keystone State, as Iniakov's round was highlighted by an eagle on the ninth hole par five. Feng did not record a bogey in the back nine, finishing the round with four birdies.
A phenomenal second round saw Harvard standout in the field, as the Crimson's score of 11 under par in the second led all teams at the Nittany Lion Invitational. All five of the Crimson's golfers finished at or below par in the second round, as Feng and junior
Vanessa Zhang both posted 68s (-4) in the second round. Zhang birdied five holes in the second and did not card a bogey on the front nine, while Feng birdied five holes as well and enjoyed a bogey-free trip down the back nine again in the second round. Sophomore
Dixon Hill became the second Crimson to post an eagle on the ninth hole, as the Waite Hill, Ohio native shot a 70 (-2). Junior
Lucy Yuan also shot below par, posting a 71 (-1) after birdies on the 15
th and 16
th holes.
Another consistent showing in the third round saw Harvard secure its third place finish at the Nittany Lion Invitational. Once again, Feng shined, ending the third round with a 70 (-2) after birding the first four holes of the back nine. Zhang battled in the third round, carding a 72 (E) in the final round to go along with 73s (+1) from Iniakov, Yuan and Hill.
Along with the team competitors, three Crimson competed as individuals at the Happy Valley Individual. First-years
Katrina Bulkovska (+3) and
Daniela Paez (+4) finished in 11
th and 12
th, respectively, while senior
Bonnie Zhai took 26
th place (+12).
