The End of History and the Last Man is famously talked about more than it is read; as a teenager, however, I did not know this, so after seeing it referenced on multiple blogs, I assumed I had to trudge through the thing. My brain at the time was, I suspect, so plastic and receptive from steeping in its warm hormonal bath that any book with a bit of force to it would’ve made a deep imprint.
