Oil prices extend gains after hours as U.S. forces conduct additional strikes on Iran
President Trump said he thinks the cease-fire is over, but also that he doesn’t see a return to war with Iran
Oil prices settled at their highest levels in more than two weeks on Wednesday, then extended their gains in after-hours trading after the U.S. military said it launched additional strikes on Iran.
Earlier Wednesday, Trump said he believed the U.S.’s cease-fire with Iran was over. When asked whether a full-scale resumption of hostilities was in the cards, the president warned that the U.S. would “probably hit ’em hard tonight.”
