Anna Faris went on Chelsea Handler’s podcast this week and mentioned, more or less in passing, that her 14-year-old son Jack that she shares with Chris Pratt has been trying to lead her to Christ.
Handler had asked whether she considers herself religious.
“No, I didn’t grow up with religion,” Faris said. “But [Jack] has asked me to accept Jesus Christ.”
Faris then admitted that she’s not at a place to make that decision yet, but she’s also not ready to completely shut that door.
“I told him I would do anything for him, including this, but it’s gonna take a whole lot of long conversations,” she said.
Faris was specific about what those long conversations involve: “Do you think it’s a luxury that you get to be pro-life?” is one question she’s asked him. Another: “So, what do you think of this megachurch pastor that’s kind of a grifter?”
Faris said she’s “appreciative that he’s examining religion the way he is in terms of recognizing hypocrisy,” and appreciative that the two of them can have the conversations at all.
