Siemens Mobility and Akiem are expanding their partnership with the launch of a new Dual Mode Electric Battery Vectron locomotive, aiming to enhance operational flexibility while supporting sustainable rail transport. The locomotive can be configured for battery capacity over 2 MWh and delivers up to 2,400 kW of power in both battery and electric modes, capable of speeds up to 160 km/h and offering a tractive effort of 300 kN suitable for freight and passenger services.
