Identity guards Overasselt, 'everyone on the farm had to die'
The police has uncovered the identity of the two suspects in the murder of the drug smuggler Jan G. from Overasselt. This is reported by De Telegraaf based on sources around the police.
The two were part of a group of more than thirty masked and armed men. They came to G.'s farm in early September with the order to kill him. When the group arrived at the gate of the property, the two opened fire on the 51-year-old security guard, who died on the spot.
Belgian warehouse
Three French suspects allegedly told the police that they had to gather in a warehouse in Belgium the night before the attack. The suspects received weapons and ammunition there, according to De Telegraaf, and the order to kill everyone on the farm, even if there were children present.
Part of the group received automatic weapons. According to De Telegraaf, this was the case for the leaders of the group. The others received lighter weapons, such as pistols.
With the statements of the three French suspects, the Public Prosecution Service could charge the group as a whole with murder or attempted murder.

Jan G. was recently arrested in Germany. He is suspected of being involved in an attempt to import almost 4000 kilos of cocaine, the police wrote. They suspect a conflict between Jan G. and drug smuggler Jos L., also known as Bolle Jos. According to Dutch authorities, the latter is hiding in Sierra Leone.
