South Dakota Senate Majority Whip Sen. Tom Pischke, R-Dell Rapids, has been charged with two felony counts of filing false or forged instruments, according to court records.
These charges date from an investigation that began March 30 by the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office into “potentially fraudulent Republican Precinct Committeeman and Committeewoman Statement forms submitted to the Minnehaha County Auditor’s Office,” according to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office.

There’s an election coming up, the outcome of which will surely impact your life. But you know you can’t vote because you’re not a citizen. Would you risk everything — your freedom, your life in the United States, your ability to be near your family — just to cast a single ballot?
Of course you wouldn’t. It’s a federal crime for noncitizens to vote in federal elections. It’s also a crime under every state’s laws. In fact, under federal law, you could face up to five years in prison simply for registering to vote. It’s also a deportable offense for noncitizens to register or vote. And sure, people make bad decisions and commit crimes all the time. But this one is different: by committing the crime, you create a government record of your having committed it. In fact, it’s the creation of the government record — the registration form or the ballot cast — that is the crime. So, you’ve not only exposed yourself to prison time and deportation, you’ve put yourself on the government’s radar, and you’ve handed the government the evidence it needs to put you in prison or deport you. All so you could cast one vote. Who would do such a thing?
It should come as no surprise then that in the extremely rare instances when a noncitizen does cast a ballot, it’s usually an accident. Sadly, there have been times when noncitizens are misled by mistaken officials into thinking that they’re eligible — and they can face serious consequences even as a result of a mistake.
But noncitizen voting is simply not a widespread or even a significant occurrence. And it’s already illegal. We don’t need new laws to stop it from happening. If Congress wants to improve our electoral system, it should focus instead on guaranteeing and protecting the freedom to vote for eligible voters.

Fraud is indeed real in CA! Homeless people have stated that they signed ballot forms while not checking of any needs and gave them to ballot collectors for small payments of $2-$5 or a few cigs.
This is not the first time in recent elections that similar allegations like this have been made and not just in CA either. Any place with a skid row, homeless encampments or non-ESL immigrants is valid fishing grounds.
But without hard, undercover sting type evidence, this is a very difficult crime to prove, which is why it rarely gets prosecuted.
Luckily, the Feds are investigating and perhaps if they put some of the homeless under oath, they can get strong enough evidence to prosecute some of these corrupt ballot collectors. Unfortunately, prosecution that takes years will not fix the tainted vote totals

Every real, replicated scientific study has shown that taking ivermectin had no effect on COVID outcomes when adjusted for age, ethnicity and geographic region.
– Ivermectin tablets (Stromectol) are an FDA approved medicine for treatment of intestinal worms Strongyloides stercoralis and Onchocerca volvulus. Ivermectin cream 1% (Soolantra) is FDA approved for treatment of rosacea. Ivermectin is not FDA approved to treat COVID-19. Ivermectin tablets are also used off-label for a number of other conditions.
While not yet approved for Covid, which is gone now, it’s a moot point. The fact that it is a worthwhile, and very effective medicine, and used on all sorts of conditions, make it very plausible to be approved after testing is done over time, when needed if Covid flares up again.
Several large scale clinical trials (10K+ subjects) were conducted between 2021-2023 in Brazil, UK and USA, with Ivermectin being used to treat COVID-19 patients and none of them found any shred of evidence that this drug for multicellular parasites has any effect on any virus.
COVID isn’t gone. The strain of COVID that has the highest probability of causing death is gone. That is common for any virus, because dead people can’t spread a virus. In any pandemic, a virus’s evolutionary strategy is to rapidly mutate in a way that minimizes death and increases infection rates. Which is why in the early part of a pandemic, the human strategy needs to be to minimize the chance of infection (masks, distancing, etc…), giving the virus time to mutate away from deadly strains. COVID remains very much a part of our existence today, but due to its less deadly nature, it poses a far smaller risk to humans.
