Though his time as a Los Angeles Laker came to a close last year, NBA star Anthony Davis has just now parted ways with one strong tie to LA: his colossal mansion. The basketball player officially sold his Bel Air property for $32 million, Mansion Global reports.
Davis, who joined the Dallas Mavericks for the 2025-2026 season and now plays for the Washington Wizards, originally listed the contemporary, European-inspired spread in August 2025 for $39.9 million. Though the 3.5-acre property sold for almost $8 million less than its original asking price, Davis was at least able to get slightly more than the $31 million he paid for the home in April 2021. (That said, renovations and closing costs more than likely make this sale a loss).
Spanning a palatial 17,254 square feet, the 2010-built house has eight bedrooms and 12 bathrooms. The upstairs primary suite features dual walk-in closets, panoramic LA views, a fireplace, and an “all-new Four Seasons quality bathroom,” per the listing description. Highlights of the home’s common spaces include a 35-foot glass dome that crowns the entry and a recently renovated kitchen complete with a fireplace, a new center island with a breakfast bar, and glass pocket doors for indoor-outdoor living.
That latter feature is particularly clutch considering the amount of time the home’s new owner will presumably be outside soaking up its resort-style grounds, which host an Olympic sized swimming pool with cabanas, a tennis court, an outdoor kitchen, a batting cage, a children’s playhouse with its own HVAC system, a vegetable garden, fire pits, a cold plunge, a sauna, and a motorcourt that can accommodate more than 30 cars. The estate is obviously tailor-made for entertaining, and that theme continues on the dwelling’s lower level, where guests can enjoy a tiered movie theater, a game room, a wet bar, a wine cellar, and a fitness center complete with a massage room and a hair salon.
It’s unclear where exactly Davis’s primary residence is now that his team is based in Washington, D.C., but we imagine it isn’t lacking in amenities.
