1951 Plymouth Cranbrook Convertible
This 1951 Plymouth Cranbrook convertible was refinished in red over a gray and red interior prior to the seller’s 2025 acquisition, and it is powered by a replacement 218ci inline-six that is linked to a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The car rides on 15″ wire wheels and has a white soft top, a driver-side spotlight, dual side mirrors, and chrome bumpers. Work in preparation for the sale involved rebuilding the brake master cylinder, repairing the trunk, and replacing the battery, brake fluid, fuel sending unit, voltage regulator, and wheel cylinders. This Cranbrook is now offered at no reserve with recent service records, a copy of the build card, a set of fender skirts, a car cover, and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.
The car was refinished in its current shade of red prior to the seller’s acquisition and is equipped with a replacement white soft top. Exterior details include a split windshield, dual side mirrors, a driver-side spotlight, an antenna, and chrome bumpers and trim. A dent and scratches on the trunk were repaired in preparation for the sale, and the trunk was resprayed. The seller states that manual assistance is recommended for the power-operated soft top.
Wire-spoke 15″ wheels are mounted with Goodyear-branded whitewall tires. The wheel cylinders were replaced in 2026, a brake fluid flush was performed, and the brake master cylinder was rebuilt.
The cabin houses bench seating trimmed in gray striped cloth with red vinyl accents as well as a lockable glovebox and front vent windows. The push-button radio and dash lights do not work.
Instrumentation includes a 100-mph speedometer flanked by gauges for coolant temperature, amperage, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 80k miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 218ci L-head inline-six was installed under prior ownership and is equipped with a single-barrel carburetor and a six-volt electrical system. The battery, fuel sending unit, voltage regulator, and coolant were changed in July 2026. The seller reports that after the car has been sitting for several days, there are oil drips and that starter fluid is sometimes needed to start the car.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission, which is equipped with an overdrive unit.
A copy of the vehicle build card is included in the sale.
The current Arizona title lists the VIN as P24064416, which is shown on the reproduction plate above. The stamping on the replacement engine is also shown.
