Zinc-based battery manufacturer Eos announced it will use Wattmore’s SCADA platform with its Z3 long-duration energy storage systems.
Eos has committed to deploy Wattmore’s Intellect Operate Energy Management System (EMS) and Power Plant Controller (PPC) for select customer projects and support integration of Wattmore’s EMS platform with Eos’ DawnOS and Z3 technology.
“Energy storage systems depend on battery technology, controls and software working together as a single operating environment,” said JW Postal, Wattmore’s Founder and CEO. “Our collaboration with Eos brings together complementary capabilities across those layers, creating a stronger foundation for customers.”
Eos and Wattmore will integrate Intellect Operate with Eos’ DawnOS and Z3 systems. DawnOS provides battery-level monitoring, control, and optimization for Z3 systems, while Wattmore’s software manages system dispatch, energy optimization, and grid interaction. Completing integration upfront creates a repeatable model and simplified path from project design to deployment.
“Customers are looking for integrated solutions that reduce complexity and simplify deployment,” said Nathan Kroeker, Chief Commercial Officer of Eos. “Eos can interface with a range of energy management systems, and our work with Wattmore adds another option for customers. As our pipeline continues to grow across utility, data center, microgrid, and other large-scale applications, this integration strengthens our ability to deliver complete energy storage solutions across a growing range of customer applications.”
